How Often Does Mazda Recommend an Oil Change?
Mazda vehicles are very efficient, but they will only remain this way if you have routine maintenance performed on your specific model. Ideally, we always recommend getting an oil change approximately every 5,000 to 10,000 miles driven or once every 6 months. The amount of time between oil changes can vary based on the model that you own. There are also different types of oil products that you can use so refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the best recommendations. Our service technicians will also want to know the frequency of your driving and where you’re doing the most driving. This will help us get you set up on a good maintenance schedule.
Do I Need an Appointment, or Can I Just Show Up?
If you need your oil changed or a specific repair completed, we recommend that you contact us ahead for an appointment. We don’t want you to take time out of your busy day, only to find that you need someone specific to look at your vehicle that isn’t there that day. If you’re driving along and you experience a check engine light come on, feel free to stop in so we can run the diagnostic code for you.
Will My Warranty Cover My Repairs?
Depends on your vehicle warranty type. Eg, warranty for a brand-new car vs certified-preowned may vary. The majority of repairs will be covered by your warranty. However, there are some normal wear and tear items of business that you’ll need to pay for yourself. For example, brakes will need to be replaced periodically based on how much they are used. This isn’t something that Mazda will cover every time for you.
When Should I Replace my Tires?
There is a very simple test you can do on your tires that will keep you informed on whether or not you need a new set. You’ll want to perform this test regularly. We’ll also take a look at your tires during a routine maintenance appointment. Keep an eye out for cracking or bulging on your existing tires. Here's a tip on how you can check your tire tread. Use the penny test as general guide (if Abe Lincoln head and hair are fully visible then we'd recommend to replace tires).
