What's New for the 2024 Mazda CX-30?

Mazda's CX-30 crossover is always popular, but it gets even more helpful to drivers this year with a Carbon Turbo trim and extensive upgrades elsewhere in the trim lineup. You might notice by the high volume of trims that Mazda loves engineering the CX-30. It's such an excellent design that there are many ways to decorate its timeless base design. The CX-30 is done in a "Kodo" design meant to communicate the art of movement. Mazda also makes use of what they call "light and shadow" to convey reflection. Mazda Harmonic Acoustics are standard with 6-speaker designs in the first few trims, but the Carbon Turbo grabs an 8-speaker Mazda Harmonic Acoustics system, and the Turbo Premium boasts a 12-speaker Bose audio system with Centerpoint and Audio Pilot tech. The base model sports cloth-trimmed sports seats with door inserts, a Select Sport comes with a leather-wrapped wheel and leatherette-trimmed sport seats, and more loaded trims boast leather-trimmed sport seats with heated seats and a heated steering wheel.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2024 CX-30 Have?

The beginning CX-30 trims offer a 191-horsepower engine. If you choose a trim like the Carbon Turbo, it comes with a 2.5L SKYACTIV-G 2.5L turbocharged engine that's rated at 250 horsepower. Is it worth it? Yes, it is.

What Safety Features Does the 2024 CX-30 Include?

Last year's CX-30 was an IIHS Top Safety Pick and boasted a 5-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Mazda didn't call it a day, though. They made this year's CX-30 even more advanced in safety. The model uses features like radar cruise control with "stop and go", blind spot monitoring, and driver attention alert to keep the driver informed of any dangerous changes. In many instances, the CX-30 can activate hard braking or other evasive maneuvers to avert accidents and keep you safe.
