An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to Mazda’s standard i-Activ AWD system. Like the rest of the lineup, the Preferred trim benefits from G-Vectoring Control Plus. In contrast to the Preferred trim, the Premium trim features a dedicated Tow mode. This function enables the CX-70 Premium to tow up to 5,000 pounds. By comparison, Mazda lists the CX-70 Preferred with a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
Appearance

The Premium trim boasts some notable upgrades. Upon sliding behind the wheel, drivers will immediately notice this trim’s fully digital gauge cluster. Mazda also swaps out the base model’s eight-speaker stereo for a 12-speaker Bose sound system. Other perks include a hands-free power tailgate, navigation, and upgraded interior lighting.
