Mazda Personal Settings

When you first purchase a Mazda from Joe Myers, you'll find that all your settings are at the factory preset level. To make your Mazda vehicle more of your own, you can configure and set your settings to how you prefer. This includes door lock options, the sensitivity of many of your safety features, your preferred radio stations, and your most commonly traveled routes. Your sales professional probably walked you through making these changes, but we have some additional information that you can use if you want to make more changes later on. Below are some tips & tricks to help you configure your Mazda personal settings to your preferences.

Your Mazda Star Button

The star button located close to your commander knob will allow you to access your favorite radio stations, communication preferences, and navigation details. You can add as many as fifty contacts to your vehicle through this feature. You can also make deletions, re-order your favorites, and much more.

Safety Feature Personalization

Your new Mazda has come equipped with the latest and greatest safety features on the market, but you can change how sensitive some of them work and how customized they are. For example, you can change the radar on your Mazda adaptive cruise control to engage at different distances from the car in front of you. You can also choose from five various automatic lock functions that include unlocking your doors with one touch.

Walkaway Lock & Keyless Lock Beep

When your vehicle locks from the keyless lock system, you'll notice that a beep sounds to let you know that the locks have been engaged. You may think that this volume is too disruptive, or you might not hear it loudly enough for your liking. The volume of the beep can be changed to either low, medium, or high volume by using the Mazda sound settings.

Customizing your vehicle helps make better use of your features, but it also helps make your car feel like your own. Mazda understands that not everyone has the same preferences, so they make it easy for you to adjust the different options you have.
