Unveiled at the 2019 LA Auto Show for the first time, the 2020 Mazda CX-30 offers sporty styling and dynamic handling. From an 8.8-inch infotainment system to the i-Activsense safety suite, this all-new crossover SUV offers lots of signature technologies.
Introducing the All-New Mazda CX-30
Despite claiming the first-generation status, the 2020 Mazda CX-30 borrows well-established mechanical technologies from other relatives on the market. This compact SUV runs on the SKYACTIV-G engine block, which whips out more than 185 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. The 2.5 L DOHC powertrain makes a great pair with the SKYACTIV-DRIVE automatic transmission system. Generating up to six preset gear ratios, the auto transmission is connected to the updated i-ACTIV All-Wheel Drive system. You can push a button to activate the all-new Off-Road Traction Assist technology. Additionally, the G-Vectoring Control Plus contributes to the car's impressive agility on paved roads.
Measuring 8.8 inches, a center display with a touch-sensitive menu is installed in the 2020 CX-30. You'll see various digital applications in the MAZDA CONNECT infotainment system, which has been revised to provide enhanced connectivity features. For example, Wi-Fi is available for the first time in this signature multimedia system that's been on the marketplace for a few years. The MyMazda mobile app provides enhanced integration between smartphones and the infotainment platform. The Vehicle Finder, Vehicle Health Report, and Remote Engine Start are included in the app.
You can also check this Mazda's fuel level, tire pressure, and odometer readings on a mobile device. Having a full-color design, the Active Driving Display hovers just above the steering wheel. The driver can easily adjust the position of projected graphics. Additionally, the 7-inch LCD Meter Display is another highlight in the instrumentation section. Made by Bose, 12 speakers are optional in the 2020 CX-30 model. Featuring the Centerpoint 2 technology, the audio system receives signals from HD Radio, Pandora, SiriusXM, and other music services. The AudioPilot function optimizes the sound quality of your favorite hits. Some of the speaker grilles have a gloss finish for dramatic styling.
This all-new Mazda crossover SUV offers the i-Activsense safety technology, which is linked to the Active Driving Display. For example, you'll see warnings from the Blind Spot Monitor and Lane Departure Warning on the signature HUD. You might also see messages from the Driver Attention Alert on the LCD Meter Display. This compact model has the Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go. The Smart Brake Support helps you slow down when other cars, bicyclists, or pedestrians are in your path.
